Examining the hormones produced facilitates the identification and treatment of diseases related to issues of the reproductive system, thyroid, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis and developmental disorders. Also, through hormonal tests, infertility can be investigated and treated.<\/p>\n<p>Hormones such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AMH is related to reproduction and indicates the reserves of eggs in the ovaries. This tends to decrease as a woman ages, as her reproductive capacity declines.<\/li>\n<li>FSH, which concerns the diagnosis of infertility and the changes that menstruation, puberty and menopause can bring to the female body.<\/li>\n<li>Calcitonin (CT), which is secreted by the body&#8217;s C cells and contributes to the regulation of calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood.<\/li>\n<li>Insulin and proinsulin regulate the body&#8217;s metabolic processes, providing the cells with the energy necessary for their survival.<\/li>\n<li>Growth hormone (GH), associated with cell growth, division and regeneration in bone, adipose tissue and skeletal muscle.<\/li>\n<li>Serotonin, i.e. the hormone of good mood is a neurotransmitter of the brain. It helps regulate sleep and appetite, while its lack is associated with causing depression.<\/li>\n<li>Gastrin, produced by the gastrointestinal tract and facilitates the process of digestion and absorption of food.<\/li>\n<li>Aldosterone and renin are used to treat damage to the adrenal glands.<\/li>\n<li>Androstenedione, related to adrenal function.<\/li>\n<li>Thyroxine (T4) causes the production of triiodothyronine (T3) and comes from the thyroid gland, affecting the central nervous system and development.<\/li>\n<li>Plasma adrenaline, which is secreted due to hypoglycemia, stress, fear or anger, affects blood pressure and can facilitate the diagnosis of cancerous tumors.<\/li>\n<li>Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) contributes to the diagnosis of diabetes.<\/li>\n<li>Parathormone, the detection of which helps in the diagnosis of hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, but also the monitoring of diseases such as renal failure.<\/li>\n<li>Prolactin is used to evaluate pituitary tumors, menstruation, galactorrhea, infertility, and hypogonadism.<\/li>\n<li>Adrenocorticotropic hormone investigates hypercortisolemia and hypocortisolemia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hormone blood testing is indicated in cases where there are diseases in the endocrine glands.
